DNA Testing has become more and more popular over the past decade to prove a biological relationship between two or more people. The most common DNA test is a paternity test and is used to see if a man is the father of a child. Other relationship tests are used to see if you are related as sibling (brothers and/or sisters), grandparents and even aunts or uncles.

Paternity Testing
DNA Paternity Testing is used to determine if a specific man is the biological father to a specific child. A paternity test will analyze the possible father and child's DNA profiles. Then the 2 DNA profiles are compared to establish if there is a biological relationship.
Our paternity tests generally include a 21 genetic marker test. Each genetic marker will have 2 numbers which are referred to as alleles. A child will receive 1 allele from their mother and 1 allele from their biological father. A biological father should match the child with at least 1 allele in each genetic marker.

It is used for personal knowledge only and could never be used for anything legal or official. The only difference is the paperwork involved and the need to have an official document. Both tests are equally accurate if the correct people are swabbed.

Family Relationship DNA Testing
On Site Medical Services provide nationwide DNA testing. Any location within North America, we obtain/make arrangements to have a donor swabbed. i.e alleged father in Orlando, and Child in Minnesota won't need to be in the same location to conduct testing.
Missing Parent Test Information
A missing parent test is used to test both paternal grandparents when the alleged father is not available for testing. This test is the next best test to perform if the alleged father is unavailable for a paternity test. The standard sample types for a missing parent test are buccal swabs. If these sample types are not available non-standard samples such as Fingernails, hair (with root/follicle), toothbrushes, etc. can be tested.
Grandparentage Testing Information
A grandparentage test is used to determine the statistical probability that an individual is the biological grandparent of another tested individual. The standard sample types for relationship testing are buccal swabs. If these sample types are not available non-standard samples such as Fingernails, hair (with root/follicle), toothbrushes, etc. can be tested.
